Colorado Parks and Wildlife said experts began capture operations to move up to 15 gray wolves from British Columbia, Canada and reintroduce them in Colorado.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is working to capture 10 to 15 more gray wolves in British Columbia, Canada for reintroduction along the Western Slope.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) began capture operations of gray wolves in British Columbia on Friday. According to a press release from CPW, the capture operation will last up to two weeks and is part of the 2025 capture season in support of the Colorado Wolf Restoration and Management Plan.
