The Commanders agreed to a deal with the District of Columbia to build a new stadium at the RFK site, sources told ESPN.

The Commanders are currently under contract to play at Northwest Stadium in Maryland until early in the 2027 season, but can extend that deal until the new home is officially constructed. Team owner Josh Harris has said he is eyeing 2030 as a target opening date, per ESPN.

After years of trying, it appears the Washington Commanders are heading back home. According to Cuneyt Dil of Axios, the Commanders and the Washington, D.C., area will unveil plans for a new football stadium at the old RFK Stadium site in the nation's capital on Monday morning.
