Courteney Cox has finally signed on for “ Scream 7 .” Sources tell me that the actor will once again play Gale Weathers in the seventh installment of the beloved horror franchise. In September, Cox told me, “I’m not officially signed on. I’m not, but there will be a ‘Scream 7.’”

The true final woman will be making her return to Scream 7, as Variety reports that Courteney Cox will be back in action as the one, the only Ms. Gale Weathers. The Friends alum has played the role of the cutthroat journalist since the first movie slashed its way onto screens back in 1996 and is the only cast member to be in all seven movies making her a true final girl.

The actress is expected to return as Gale Weathers in the upcoming franchise installment, which will also see Mason Gooding return as Chad Meeks-Martin and Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott
