A Flagler County deputy used his vehicle to hit a man riding a bike after the fleeing bicyclist allegedly pulled out a gun.

Michael McDermott, who was armed with a gun, fled from a deputy, who used his vehicle to knock McDermott off his bicycle, the Sheriff's Office said.

A Florida man has been arrested by law enforcement after allegedly attempting to evade them on his bicycle and then pulling out a gun, officials say.

During the investigation, deputies discovered that McDermott has an extensive arrest history dating back to 2013.
