Nvidia’s RTX 5090 has leaked today in the form of a marketing image of the unannounced next-gen GPU. VideoCardz has obtained a box shot of the RTX 5090, which suggests that the rumors of 32GB of GDDR7 memory are true.

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang started with an announcement the next-generation Nvidia desktop GPUs, before moving on to the mobile version of the RTX 5070, showing off a laptop with an RTX 5070 inside that he says will be available for $1,299, starting when the new GPUs become available in March.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed the RTX 50-series GPUs during a CES keynote this evening, announcing a $1,999 RTX 5090, a $999 RTX 5080, a $749 RTX 5070 Ti, and a $549 RTX 5070. Nvidia’s new RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs will both be available on January 30th, with the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 to follow in February.

The jump to faster GDDR7 memory along will be an upgrade, but NVIDIA's next flagship mobile GPU may go as high as 24GB in total VRAM capacity.

In the laptop segment, the new Blackwell Max-Q technology delivers 40% better battery life and double the performance of previous generations. The RTX 5090 Laptop GPU comes with 24GB of GDDR7 memory, while the RTX 5080 model features 16GB, targeting creators and demanding workflows. The Laptop models will be available starting March.

As for specs, the RTX 5090 Founders Edition will feature 32GB of GDDR7 RAM and 21,760 CUDA cores. Depending on the game, NVIDIA says the 5090 will deliver as much as twice the relative performance, with RT-intensive titles like Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 seeing the largest gains.
