Wess Roley, 20, was identified as the Idaho shooter by Bob Norris, the sheriff of Kootenai County, which is in northern Idaho just west of Spokane.

Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris says that suspect Wess Roley, who ambushed firefighters, later shot himself. Records show that the sheriff’s office had five minor interactions with the 20-year-old.
