As crews battle wildfires in Minnesota's Arrowhead, another Red Flag warning is in effect on Tuesday for much of Minnesota.

A map showing Michigan’s fire risk highlights much of the Lower Peninsula in the “very high” risk category, with just a few spots in the “high risk” zone.

Elevated fire danger will exist May 12-13 as warm temperatures, low humidity levels and gusty winds become mixed with dry, fine vegetation and grasses, according to the weather service.

Crews in northeastern Minnesota are battling a wildfire that has grown to hundreds of acres. As of Sunday night, the size of the fire near Brimson, Minnesota, was about 750 acres, according to Minnesota Incident Command System.
