The federal government will not be able to deploy any Oregon National Guard troops to Portland, at least until Tuesday. That’s because the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals late Friday put a temporary hold until then on a three-judge panel’s ruling that had opened the door for the federal deployment of Oregon troops to the city.
