MONTREAL – The NHL announced on Tuesday that Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson has been named Rookie of the Month for March.
Montreal has the best odds to make the playoffs at DraftKings Sportsbook among the five teams between 74 and 77 points in the East. The Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues could only be fighting for wild-card positioning if they keep picking up points.
Jiricek, the No. 6 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, was acquired by the Wild in a trade on Nov. 30, 2024.
