Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose confirmed Monday that multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a security incident late Sunday night involving the Secretary and his family at their suburban Columbus home.

His office said he has previously received threats of physical harm in recent months and has increased security presence.

Authorities are investigating mail sent to the home of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose that contained powder and a threatening letter.

LaRose received and opened mail at his home containing a “powdery substance and written material of a threatening nature.”
