OpenAI is rolling out an AI-powered web browser soon that may change how we surf the internet—and put major pressure on Google Chrome's dominance.

The report that OpenAI is planning a browser comes after its smaller AI rival, the internet search-oriented Perplexity AI Inc., announced its own browser earlier today. The browser, called Comet, uses AI to automate manual tasks for users and includes Perplexity as the default option for search.
