Former winner Andrey Rublev reached the final of the Qatar Open on Friday with a 7-5 4-6 7-6(5) win over Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime, and will meet Jack Draper in the decider after the Briton beat Czech Jiri Lehecka.

Andrey Rublev has clinched his place in a third Qatar Open final and will face Jack Draper in the title match on Saturday. Rublev, who triumphed in Qatar in 2020, encountered a difficult test in his semi-final on Friday but prevailed over Felix Auger-Aliassime to secure a 7-5 4-6 7-6 (7-5) victory in a match that lasted two hours and 46 minutes.

Rublev hung in there to defeat the Canadian 7-5, 6-4, 7-6 (5) to book his third summit clash in Doha. The Russian withstood 21 aces from his big-serving opponent to prevail in a two-hour, 47-minute semifinal clash on Friday night. Rublev, who will face Jack Draper in the final, was quoted as saying by the ATP Tour as saying.
