The wrestling world mourns the death of Sabu, a former ECW champion and pro wrestling legend, who died Sunday at age 60.
Word that the ECW legend died recently quickly sparked a wave of farewells, remembrances & tributes from those he worked with or inspired.
The wrestling world has been saddened by the passing of Sabu at 60 years old. WWE Superstars and wrestling icons have now paid tribute to the hardcore legend.
GCW star Joey Janela revealed that Sabu's team provided the ECW legend the controversial kratom drug before their last match in Spring Break last month.
"Sabu was getting into trouble and he got shot; Sabu got shot in the f***ing mouth! The guy put the gun [against his face], pulled the trigger, busted seven teeth, the bullet went out here," Alfonso said during an appearance on " Busted Open Radio ,
After professional wrestling legend Sabu sadly passed away at 60 years old, a WWE Superstar has revealed they've been pushing for his Hall of Fame induction.
Sabu competed in his retirement match on April 18, facing Joey Janela at Spring Break 9 in a no ropes barbed wire bout. In an interview with Phil Schneider of Yahoo's Uncrowned, Janela and GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale revealed complications leading up to the match, including concerns that Sabu wouldn't show up or be able to perform.
