Gov. Jeff Landry was not involved with LSU's decision to part ways with athletic director Scott Woodward, LSU Board of Supervisors chairman Scott Ballard said in a news conference Friday.

LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey was "heartbroken" Thursday after learning that the man who brought her home to Louisiana -- athletic director Scott Woodward -- had been fired by the university.
