Former FBI Director James Comey was interviewed by the U.S. Secret Service on Friday regarding a controversial Instagram post that has drawn accusations of inciting violence against President Donald Trump.

Administration officials had said the post — a picture of seashells forming the numbers “86 47” — amounted to an assassination threat by the former F.B.I. director.
