The Bulldogs (38-18) were run-ruled by Canady and the No. 12 seed Red Raiders (47-12) in a 10-1 loss in the sixth inning of the NCAA tournament Lubbock Regional on May 17. MSU beat Texas Tech with Canady pitching in the first game of the season.

FSU is familiar with Texas Tech and its star pitche r NiJaree Canady from last season. The Seminoles beat the Red Raiders in last year's JoAnne Graf Classic, 9-8. While Canady was at Stanford, they shut out the Cardinal 4-0 in Clearwater.

Texas Tech softball moved a win away from the regional title but must get past Mississippi State again to advance to the Super Regionals.
