All 13 of the country's premiers will remain united as "Team Canada" in the face of a tariff threat from the United States despite "chaos" in Ottawa, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said hours after the federal finance minister's resignation.

Canada's premiers must take a bigger role in Canada-U.S. relations, Doug Ford said Monday on his way in to a meeting he is chairing with all 13 provincial and territorial leaders.

Canada’s premiers are meeting in Toronto today, and cross-border trade is topping the agenda, on the heels of a tariff threat from U.S. president-elect Donald Trump. Trump is threatening to impose a 25 per cent import tariff on goods coming from Canada and Mexico when he takes office,
