A federal judge had blocked the reversal of the Biden policy, saying the government provided no evidence that trans people undermined the armed forces.

The Supreme Court said Tuesday that the Trump administration can begin immediately enforcing a ban on transgender service members in the military.

Lower courts had blocked the policy, saying it was not supported by evidence and violated equal protection principles.
