Tropical Storm Humberto forms in the Atlantic as Hurricane Gabrielle takes aim at the Azores
Forecasters say a hurricane warning has been issued for the Azores as Hurricane Gabrielle races across open Atlantic waters on track for the volcanic archipelago.
Tropical activity is ramping up in the Atlantic Basin. Along with Hurricane Gabrielle, which is currently tracking east of Bermuda, the National Hurricane Center is monitoring two tropical disturbances in the central Atlantic for potential development this week.
While neither will directly impact South Florida, one may bring wet weather and wind to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and one may develop into the next tropical storm or hurricane as it heads toward Bermuda.
