Peña (11-5 MMA, 8-3 UFC) will attempt to make the first defense in her second reign as women's bantamweight champion when she takes on two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time PFL champion Harrison (18-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) in the co-main event of Saturday card at Prudential Center ( ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN/Disney+, ESPN+).

In speaking with The Post this week, Amanda Nunes said she wished to face “either one” of Julianna Peña or Kayla Harrison “at the end of the year.”

Harrison's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, recently boasted that Harrison could beat Pena, former two-division champion Nunes and former bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey on the same night. Hyperbole is not foreign to Abdelaziz, but Harrison, normally much more reserved than her manager, agreed with the assessment.
