As a military parade rolls through Washington, DC, on Saturday – President Donald Trump’s birthday – millions of Americans are expected to protest in what organizers predict will be the strongest display of opposition to Trump’s administration since he took office in January.

"We are honoring the 250th anniversary of the greatest fighting force in history, the United States Army," President Donald Trump said in a video posted to Truth Social.

California leaders warn that the military intervention is the onset of a much broader effort by Trump to overturn norms at the heart of America's political system.

The demonstrations are scheduled the same day as a military parade celebrating the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary in Washington, D.C.
