OAKLAND — A 38-year-old man was wounded in a road rage related shooting Wednesday night in the Fruitvale district and the gunman remained at large Friday, authorities said. The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of East 9th Street.

A man was shot to death Monday morning, Oct. 13, outside the Jack in the Box in Hemet at 3111 W. Florida Avenue. Judith Gibson, a Hemet police spokeswoman, said the occupants of a car that contained two adults and an infant were involved in the shooting of the man.

A suspect is in custody following a shooting on Highway 24 in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced both dead at the scene. The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Jacqueline Medrano of Covina and 35-year-old Jonathan Wang of Long Beach.
