Check Out NASA's New Image of the Brilliant Bullseye Galaxy, the Aftermath of a Rare Cosmic Collision
Around 50 million years ago, a blue dwarf galaxy shot through the center of an enormous galaxy more than twice the size of the Milky Way, called LEDA 1313424. Now, astronomers have revealed the spectacular result of this record-breaking collision: nine starry rings,

NASA's Hubble Telescope Discovers Gargantuan Bullseye Galaxy With Most Rings Ever Found
Imad Pasha, the lead researcher and a doctoral student at Yale University called it a "serendipitous discovery" because it has the most number of rings than any spiral galaxy found to date. While Hubble discovered eight rings of the galaxy, the ninth one was confirmed through observations using Hawaii-based Keck observatory.
Hubble Hits the ‘Bullseye,’ a Galaxy With Record-Breaking 9 Rings
The Bullseye is now confirmed to have nine rings, eight of which are visible to Hubble. Researchers confirmed the existence of the ninth ring by studying data from the W. M. Keck Observatory. That means the Bullseye has six more rings than any other known galaxy.
NASA Hubble Space Telescope spots a rare ‘bullseye’ galaxy collision with nine rings
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has revealed a galaxy resembling a bullseye, with multiple rings expanding from its centre.
Hubble Telescope captures cosmic collision from 50 million years ago
The Hubble Telescope took a snapshot of what astronomers are calling the Bullseye Galaxy. The distant galaxy contains nine rings of stars that were formed when a blue dwarf galaxy crashed through the center of the galaxy.
Hubble Reveals Cosmic Bullet That Gave The Bullseye Galaxy Its Record-Breaking Rings
Just like fingerprints and snowflakes, no two galaxies in the entire Universe are exactly alike. But a new discovery 567 million light-years away really is jaw-droppingly unique. There, astronomers have found a galaxy girdled by,
Hubble spots a cosmic bullseye: a galaxy with nine rings
The Hubble Space Telescope has imaged a stunning and unusual galaxy with nine rings around it.The Latest Tech News, Delivered to Your Inbox
Hubble Finds Record Nine Rings in Distant Galaxy
In a study that was published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, astronomers used Hubble to find eight observable rings—more than any other observatory has ever seen in any galaxy—and used data from Hawaii's W.
Bullseye galaxy reveals stunning rings after galactic impact
A small blue dwarf galaxy passed through the massive Bullseye galaxy. This impact created nine rings of new stars.
NASA’s Hubble Spots a Stunning Galaxy With Nine Mysterious Expanding Rings
NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope has captured a breathtaking and unprecedented sight in deep space—a galaxy rippling with nine expanding rings, forming what looks like a giant cosmic bullseye. This rare galactic formation,
