These channels are essentially continuous playlists that allow viewers to marathon their favorite HBO titles and more. HBO Max has dropped a fun new feature on its subscribers just in time for the holidays,

HBO Max announced on Dec. 12 that it has launched curated channels featuring themed binge-worthy shows. The specially curated themed channels will be available for select HBO Max users’ adult profiles across all subscription tiers.

HBO is enacting more name changes, as the cabler has given a cosmetic makeover to six of its U.S. linear channels. HBO2 will now be called HBO Hits. HBO Signature is now HBO Drama. HBO Zone will henceforth be known as HBO Movies. Plus, Warner Bros.

Select users will also have access to a continuous feed of episodes from IP such as DC, "Sex and the City," "Rick and Morty" and more

HBO Max first hinted at bringing curated channels to its streaming service last year, when it launched always-on channels that mirror the content playing on its linear HBO channels. These new channels are available to all users on adult profiles from the “channels” rail on the homepage.

Among the many burning questions about Netflix ‘s potential acquisition of Warner Bros. is: What would happen to HBO Max? Would customers continue to subscribe to both, or would it ultimately roll into Netflix?
