Washington (5-2, 2-2), fresh off a 579-yard performance in last week’s 38-19 victory over Rutgers, was bottled up by Michigan’s defense, managing just 249 yards. Standout dual-threat quarterback Demond Williams Jr. passed for 209 yards and three interceptions while finishing with negative net rushing yards.

Saturday also marked a return to The Big House for Jedd Fisch, Washington's head coach, who was the Michigan football pass game coordinator for Jim Harbaugh in 2015 and 2016. The Wolverines dominated the game in all phases, and afterward, Fisch had a lot of praise for his former team.

The Wolverines outscored the Huskies 17-7 in the second half to improve to 5-2 and 3-1 in the Big Ten. Both sides of the ball got back on track after an ugly 31-13 loss last week to USC. Michigan outgained Washington 417-249 and won the turnover battle 3-0.
