The Dallas Cowboys have signed defensive end Solomon Thomas according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Thomas, the No. 3 pick in the 2017 NFL draft, agreed to a two-year deal with Dallas worth up to $8 million.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Solomon Thomas — defensive tackle and former No. 3 overall draft pick from Coppell — has agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth a maximum of $8 million in free agency on Tuesday to join the Cowboys.

New Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus made it clear earlier this offseason that in order to close the gap between them and the Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles, the team needed more talent on their defensive line.
