Fashion retailer New Look is set to exit the Republic of Ireland market, putting about 347 workers at risk of redundancy. The retailer's Irish arm, New Look Retailers (Ireland) Ltd, entered into liquidation on Thursday. The winding down of operations in the country follows several years of sustained losses and challenging market conditions.

High street fashion giant New Look will fully exit the Republic of Ireland, putting all of its workers in the country at risk of redundancy. The retailer’s Irish arm, which employs about 347 people, has entered into redundancy following years of losses at the high street chain.

The six Dublin stores closing are located at Northside Shopping Centre, Liffey Valley, Tallaght, Omni Park, Blanchardstown and Jervis Street. Four Cork stores at Wilton, Ballincollig, Blackpool and Opera Lane will also shut, plus two stores each in Galway and Wicklow and seven other locations.

New Look is closing all 26 of its stores in the Republic of Ireland and making its workforce of 347 employees redundant as it winds down its Irish operations.
