A small aircraft flying from Aspen, Colo. to Denver landed safely after an autonomous system activated on board. The plane landed at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport on Saturday, Dec. 20 and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters said that the pilot deployed an "airframe parachute system," which allowed the aircraft to make a safe landing in the Cleveland National Forest.
