The climb, which took place at the Taipei 101 tower in Taiwan was originally set to air on Friday, Jan. 23 before being postponed to the next night due to bad weather concerns.

Alex Honnold successfully completed his historic climb of Taipei 101, and now he’s telling the tale.

“Actually, if you put it in the context of mainstream sports, it’s an embarrassingly small amount,” Honnold, 40, joked in a story with The New York Times, published Friday, January 22.
