YouTube TV vs. Hulu with Live TV is a contentious debate. Both cord-cutting offerings make the list of our best cable TV alternatives. Both offer all the four major broadcast networks, unlimited DVR space and multiple simultaneous streams.

Subscription services have also become more expensive. Netflix, for example, now costs $18 a month for its no-ads Standard plan. And Apple TV+, which started out at $5 a month, is now $13 a month after a recent price hike.

YouTube TV and The Walt Disney Co. did not make a new deal before the agreement expired at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30. The live TV service had asked the owner of channels such as ABC, FX, National Geographic and ESPN for a better rate for programming.
