The largest EV market in the US alleges that the largest EV manufacturer is misleading drivers with its autonomous claims.

PALO ALTO, California -- Tesla reported drops in both revenue and operating profit for a second straight quarter on Wednesday, as CEO Elon Musk attempts to revamp the company with the launch of robotaxi services while dealing with a breakdown in his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Tesla Inc. is set to face off with the California Department of Motor Vehicles over claims that the company has exaggerated the capabilities of its Autopilot and Full Self-Driving technology and misled consumers.

Tesla is fighting cases in Miami and California alleging it dangerously misled consumers about its Autopilot technology, including the driver in a fatal crash.

The first futuristic-looking Tesla supercharger diner restaurant opened in California Monday and Tesla owner Elon Musk hinted at the possibility of more locations to come.

Before the opening, Musk shared a drone shot of the new diner. In an accompanying comment, he said that if this first Tesla Diner proves popular, the company will open more of them “in major cities around the world as well as at Supercharger sites on long distance routes.”

Silva said Tesla is the catchiest iteration of the band's names and, unlike Hernandez, he feels the name is made better by the prevalence of the car company. Silva said he has a personal connection to the brand since his niece and nephew both work for Tesla in Dublin.
