A man was shot and killed on Jan. 6 after leading deputies on a high-speed chase near downtown Ypsilanti.

Brown University students are resuming classes on Wednesday following a deadly shooting last month that shattered the typical sense of safety on the picturesque campus and spurred a review of the Ivy League institution’s security measures.

One student said "Brown will never be the same" following the shooting on campus.

When students returned earlier this week to the Brown University building where December’s tragic mass shooting happened, Rachel Fontes was ready to greet them. She and her colleagues serve coffee and pastries every weekday at the School of Engineering Cafe,

The freeway closure came after a Richmond police officer shot someone on I-80 near Highway 4, authorities said.
