Thurman was extradited to Baton Rouge and was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of felony criminal hazing in connection with the death of Southern University student Caleb Wilson, 20. Wilson was repeatedly punched during an off-campus hazing ritual.

On Feb. 26, Caleb Wilson, a 20-year-old junior at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, died. Police say Wilson was brought to a nearby hospital before 3 a.m. on Feb. 26 by a group of men who said he collapsed while playing basketball in a nearby park. All of those men had left the hospital before police arrived.

Two more arrests have been made in connection with the death of a Southern University student after a fraternity hazing ritual involving repeatedly punching pledges.

Kyle Thurman, 25, was in West Baton Rouge police custody Monday afternoon. He's expected to be charged with felony hazing.
