Austin FC has landed Brandon Vazquez in a club-record transfer from Monterrey. The U.S. men's national team striker returns to MLS just one year after leaving FC Cincinnati to join the Liga MX side. GiveMeSport reported that Austin FC paid $10 million to land the 26-year-old, meaning Monterrey made a profit after paying $7.5 million one year ago.

Austin FC acquired United States striker Brandon Vázquez from Liga MX CF Monterrey for a club-record transfer fee on Monday.

Though Brandon Vázquez wasn't a starter for Monterrey, he still managed 14 goals in 49 games. Despite his numbers in Liga MX, the forward seems to prefer a return to MLS, which isn't all that surprising since he's enjoyed success in the league.
