The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of their rematch on Saturday in front of 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium in London to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight world champion.
Dubois was the beneficiary of this move by the IBF, picking up the interim title with a June 2024 stoppage of Filip Hrgovic and then being elevated to full champion after Usyk was stripped. Dubois then defended his title with a spectacular knockout of Anthony Joshua in Wembley Stadium.
The Ukrainian cruiserweight convert has in five years eclipsed the accomplishments of any heavyweight since the ’90s.
