Tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets across Southern California on Saturday to voice their concerns over ongoing immigration raids and oppose the policies of President Trump, who they depicted as an aspiring monarch.

The protest was dubbed “No Kings,” and was part of worldwide demonstrations Saturday targeting the Trump Administration. No Kings is also a reference to fears by some that President Trump is making moves more akin to that of an unchecked monarch. During her brief address, Titus quipped that “Elvis is the only king we want in Las Vegas.”
The nationwide “No Kings” protest is scheduled for Anaheim’s La Palma Park at 4 p.m. today following a series of rolling protests against ICE sweeps throughout OC this week – especially in Santa Ana.
Speakers at Oakland’s City Hall called on protesters to help impede ICE operations in their communities. Some read phone numbers over a loud speaker that protesters should call if they have information on or spot ICE officials in their communities.
Saturday marks the first full day of Marines on duty in Los Angeles, one week after protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids ignited in LA.
