Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy unveiled a sweeping plan to replace decades-old infrastructure to boost safety, cut delays, and support future air travel in a move to modernize the United States’s air traffic control system.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean P. Duffy announced a plan to revitalize the nation’s air traffic control infrastructure Thursday. The Department of Transportation (DOT) said the purpose of the plan is to address vital safety requirements and built a “state-of-the-art air traffic control system” in a Thursday press release.
