For a second straight summer, Cameron Heyward isn't practicing for contract-related reasons. Last year, Heyward's hold-in ultimately led to a two-year contract extension. The Steelers' veteran defensive tackle is now looking for that contract to be reworked ahead of the 2025 season.

Cam Heyward talked after today’s practice and explained his hold in. More coming, but the gist is that his request for a reworked deal dates back to Feb. Upon signing his deal last year, he told the Steelers he’d be coming back to re-negotiate if he had an all-pro season.

Cam Heyward is currently at Steelers training camp, but the defensive lineman isn’t ruling out the idea regular season missing games.
