Beacons were lit across Berkshire on Thursday evening, marking the end of a day of celebrations and commemorations for VE Day. During the day, memorial services were held, and a two-minute silence at midday marked 80 years since the end of World War Two in Europe. Hundreds of people also attended parades, afternoon teas and concerts.
