Saquon Barkley scored on the Eagles’ first play from scrimmage and added two more touchdowns as Philadelphia rolled to a 55-23 victory over the Commanders. The Eagles will play either the Buffalo Bills or Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 next month in the Superdome in New Orleans.

The Philadelphia Eagles routed the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game, to earn their fifth Super Bowl appearance.
The NFC championship game Sunday between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders is the third matchup of the season between the division rivals.
The Eagles dominated every facet of the game and won the turnover battle while dominating the Commanders to advance to Super Bowl 59. Philadelphia rushed for seven touchdowns, including three scores each for Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, blowing out their NFC East rival 55-23 at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday.
Before Sunday the Bills were the only team ever to surpass 50 points in a conference title game, beating the Raiders 51-3 to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl in January of 1991. The Eagles now hold the record, blowing past the Panthers who beat the Cardinals 49-15 in January of 2016, giving them the previous NFC record.

The Eagles tried their own trick play — the “Philly Special” — in the fourth quarter when Foles caught a pass from Trey Burton for a touchdown. Philadelphia won, 41-33, despite Brady throwing for three touchdowns and 505 yards.
