An Air India passenger plane carrying more than 200 people crashed after taking off from an airport in the Indian city of Ahmedabad on Thursday.

The plane, which was headed to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after taking off. More than 200 bodies have been recovered.

The jet was carrying 242 passengers and crew from India, Canada, the U.K. and Portugal when it crashed on June 12The police commissioner of the Indian city where a London-bound plane crashed shortly after take-off has said there doesn't appear to be any survivors from the incident.
