Officials are encouraging residents to stay off the roads since the storm will likely bring treacherous driving conditions — especially for commuters Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.

Hampton Roads residents woke up to a blanket of snow covering the ground after a nor’easter dropped nearly a foot over the Tidewater area.

Since Hampton Roads doesn't get snow often, most local governments don't have many city resources dedicated to snow removal. That's why most cities can't plow every street when we do get snow accumulation.
