Women's doubles player retires from French Open match after tripping over advertising board
PARIS (AP) — Turkish player Zeynep Sönmez retired from a women's doubles match at the French Open after she was injured falling over an advertising board near the back of the court on Friday. Sönmez was chasing down a ball during a point and escaped with only minor injuries but demanded the boards be removed.
