Arizona voters have picked Adelita Grijalva as a successor to the late U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva, who was her father and represented the state for more than two decades in Congress, according to the AP.
Adelita Grijalva won Arizona’s 7th District seat Tuesday, succeeding her late father and becoming the first Latina to represent the state in Congress.
