CHARLOTTE, NC (KBTX) - In a release, Carolina Panthers announced Linebacker Nic Scourton is “week-to-week” after suffering a collapsed lung in a joint practice on Thursday. After being checked by Panthers medial staff it was realized that the injury was more than heat to which Scourton was taken to a nearby hospital where he spent Thursday night.

NFL rookie Nic Scourton is suffering from a collapsed lung. The second-round pick initially began showing symptoms during a joint practice with the Texans in Houston on Aug. 14. It is currently unclear when he will return to the field.
