Jon Jones is the last man to have defeated Tom Aspinall’s opponent at UFC 321. Ciryl Gane will make his third bid for the undisputed heavyweight title in Saturday’s main event. He was first outpointed by Francis Ngannou before being submitted by Jones at UFC 285.
Aspinall vs Gane will mark the first heavyweight title fight since Jones finished Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 last November. The Rochester native later vacated the throne instead of unifying the titles against the Englishman, who was interim champ for a record length of time.
