Ty Simpson reacted accordingly after he was named the starting quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide for the 2025 college football season.

Earlier this week, Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer named redshirt junior Ty Simpson the team's starting quarterback, succeeding Jalen Milroe.

"He loves pressure," Jarod Neal, Simpson's high school coach, told CBS Sports. "He loves to be the man when things are on the line, he wants the ball. When we had games on the line, I said, 'Ty, it's yours, you have to make something happen here,' and he would."
