Premier of Ontario Doug Ford said the U.S. and Canada are "stronger together" in his first response to President Donald Trump's termination of trade talks in a spat over an anti-tariffs advertising campaign that featured former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
In his Truth Social post, Trump referenced a tweet posted Thursday evening by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, which described the ad as “misrepresenting” the April 1987 radio address that it drew its content from, but didn’t go into detail about how the quotes were misrepresented.
The premier of Canada’s most powerful province — and arguably the country’s most successful politician today — has gotten under Donald Trump’s skin again.
