COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — A man shot firefighters battling a blaze in northern Idaho after they asked him to move his vehicle, killing two of them and wounding a third, a sheriff said Monday.

The suspect has been identified as Wess Roley, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press on Monday.

Two firefighters are dead and another injured after a shooter opened fire as they tried to put out a wildfire on Canfield Mountain in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
