The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are reported to be 1 in 292.2 million, according to Powerball.com. One player won the $205 million Powerball drawing on May 31.
A $10 bet turned into a jackpot prize for one Massachusetts casino player last week. The $10 bet was placed on the game “Phoenix Link” at MGM Springfield on Thursday. It won the jackpot of $11,446.95. Overall, there are over 1,500 slot machines at MGM Springfield.
The slot reporting threshold is governed by an IRS regulation, so the change will not go into effect until the agency updates its rules.

The player hit the jackpot after stopping at a convenience store in the mountain town of Asheville. The lucky ticket was sold at Fastrac Markets Inc, the N.C. Education Lottery wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
